I suddenly looked up and realized that the colour red seemed to be the dominant colour of the moment. I'm not a fan of the red and it has nothing to do with the fact I was a nurse for 11 years and saw my mix of GI bleeds. That's when red still has a chance. Or the red you see at the birth of a child. That's the red of hope and life. Far different from the red you see at war. That's a heart aching red. A graphic reminder that we're still a long way off from being civilized.
