If body language speaks louder than words then there's definitely the possibility that some words may not be heard. Even when perceived as spoken clearly, one must never assume that the intent is received just so. Given the amount of interfering variables such as noise, distracting visuals, one's lack of sleep or ability to focus at a given moment ... let's not even forget cultural differences and personal experiences with a given word. Then there's also mood.
This always makes me believe that often, the language of music is perhaps the safest communication tool. That and love. But not everyone realizes he is equipped with the knowledge of love, since they haven't even learned to love themselves.
